Charles, Robert and Jerry Drury, three of the founders of Drury Inns Inc., and several members of the firm's senior management team were at the site of the plane crash in Evansville, Ind., a company spokesman said Thursday.
A C-130 transport plane crashed into a Drury Inn and adjacent JoJo's restaurant.
They joined the hotel staff to support the work of emergency crews at the crash scene, said the spokesman.
"We want to express our sorrow at the tragedy," said a spokesman at the St. Louis headquarters of Drury Inns Inc.
Guests at the hotel were being lodged in other Evansville hotels Thursday night, he said.
