Drury Suites Hotel opened at Cape Girardeau Friday.
The new five-story, 87-room hotel, located at the southwest corner of Interstate 55 and Route K, has a new look for Drury Inns, featuring roofline gables at atrium and side entrances, and a lighter brick with burgundy trim.
The hotel has an inside atrium lobby, constructed to accommodate the large chandelier and observation elevator with glass wall, as well as walkways along the front of the atrium.
"We're proud to add the Drury Suites brand to the Cape Girardeau area," said Barry Robinson, general manager of the facility.
The new operation employs about 30 people.
Drury Inns, Inc., owns and/or operates more than 60 Drury Inn, Pear Tree Inn by Drury, Thrifty Inn and Hampton Inn hotels in 11 states.
