Doniphan woman injured in Cape-area wreck

A Doniphan, Missouri, woman was seriously injured in an accident Sunday evening outside Cape Girardeau.

Just before 6:30 p.m. Sunday, a 2012 Dodge Caravan driven by Debra Lindsey, 54, of Doniphan was traveling north on Highway 25 near Route K. A 1999 Dodge Ram driven by Elijah King, 16, of Jackson turned into the path of the Caravan, causing the accident.

Lindsey was transported via ambulance to a Cape Girardeau hospital along with her passenger, Vicky Lindsey, 63, also of Doniphan, who suffered moderate injuries. Both were wearing seat belts.
