Tina M. Herrell, 45, of Doniphan, Mo., was arrested Friday night on suspicion of vehicular assault, after allegedly driving while intoxicated and causing an injury accident.

On Friday evening, Herrell was allegedly driving the wrong way on Limbaugh Lane and struck another vehicle that was just pulling out of the Elks Lodge, said Sgt. Barry Hovis, spokesman for the Cape Girardeau Police Department.

Herrell faces two counts of second degree vehicular assault because because she was allegedly intoxicated at the time, and injuries resulted from the accident.

She was also charged with driving while revoked and failure to comply with a court-ordered ignition interlock device.

The individuals in the car suffered minor to moderate injuries, and received medical treatment, Hovis said.
