State's Attorney Richard Devine announced Tuesday that he will ask Cook County Circuit Court Judge Dennis Potter Wednesday morning to release the three men.

Convicted in the murder of medical student Lori Roscetti in 1987 were Calvin Ollins, now 29, his cousin Larry Ollins, 31, and Omar Saunders, 32.

"We all have to express our regrets to them," Devine said at a news conference.
