A seminar on "brain smart discipline" will be held Oct. 6 at Southeast Missouri State University.
The seminar will run from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. in Dempster Hall's Glenn Auditorium.
Cheri Sheridan, who writes and speaks on child care and early childhood education, will present the seminar. She will discuss ways to deal with childhood behavior issues.

The event is sponsored by Child Care Resource and Referral, Workshop on Wheels and Success By 6, an early childhood initiative coordinated by the Area Wide United Way to prepare children to succeed in school.
