The Community Organizations Active in Disaster (COAD) is opening two Multi-Agency Family Resource Centers in Marble Hill, Mo., and Delta, Mo., to help victims of recent flooding.
The centers will allow those affected by the floods to meet with representatives of community disaster relief agencies and to register for emergency assistance.
The first center opens at noon today at the Baptist Church Family Life Center in Marble Hill, where FEMA coordinating officer from Jefferson City, Mo., Mike Parker, will in attendance.
On Thursday a center will open at the Delta Community Center at noon. The centers will be open until 8 p.m. on their respective days. The Marble Hill center is only open Wednesday, and the Delta center is only open Thursday.
People should bring identification with them that shows their address in the flooded areas. There will also be a dumpster at each location for disaster victims to use.
