DIOCESE NAMES NEW DIRECTOR OF CATHOLIC SCHOOLS

SPRINGFIELD -- Sister Lucille Kalinowski, SSND, will succeed Msgr. Edward M. Eftink as superintendent of Catholic schools, beginning July 1.

Eftink, pastor of St. Joseph The Worker Parish in Ozark, has been superintendent of schools for the past 14 years.

Kalinowski has experience in Catholic elementary and secondary schools, both as a teacher and an administrator. Presently, she is the principal of Duchesne High School in St. Charles, Mo.

In making the announcement, Bishop John J. Leibrecht said that Kalinowski will also have some responsibilities in religious education.
