"Monitoring Your Diabetes," a program designed to help people with diabetes better understand the role of self blood-glucose monitoring in the treatment of the disease, will be held July 26.
The program, sponsored by Southeast Missouri Hospital and St. Francis Medical Center, will be held from 7-8 p.m. in the Harrison Room at Southeast. It is the first in a series of educational programs designed for diabetics.
Program presenters will be Rosie Danker, diabetes nurse educator with St. Francis; Janet Stewart and Carla Glaus, nurse educators with Southeast; and Anita Smith, a registered dietitian at Southeast.
Stewart said the July program will include information on cleaning and maintenance of personal blood-glucose meters to produce more accurate results.
The program is free. To register, call 651-5833 by July 21.
