BLOOMFIELD, Mo. -- An early morning wreck Thursday left a Dexter, Missouri, woman with serious injuries, according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol.

Kathy S. Durbin, 56, was driving south on Highway 25, three miles south of Bloomfield, when her 2007 Mercury Montego ran off the right side of the highway, overturned and struck several small trees, according to a crash report.

Dexter Fire Department's Extrication Team was summoned to the scene just after 5 a.m. to help remove Durbin from the vehicle. She was taken by Stoddard County EMS to SoutheastHEALTH in Dexter. Assisting the Highway Patrol were Bloomfield Police and Stoddard County Sheriff's deputies.

Durbin was wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash.
