DEXTER, Mo. -- Dexter police responded to a call of a stabbing early Tuesday morning only to find out the case wasn't quite what it seemed, according to the details of a Dexter Police Department news release.
Police were dispatched to a home in Dexter at 2:12 a.m. Tuesday. Lee Horton, 35, of Dexter told police he had been stabbed around 1:30 a.m. when he was rushed by a stranger while walking down the street.
Horton was wounded and was taken to a hospital.
But police later found out Horton's stab wound was self-inflicted. He was arrested Wednesday and taken to jail, charged with making a false police report.
