DEXTER, Mo. -- A Dexter resident who faces several changes, including a terrorist threat, appeared for arraignment Thursday.

Jason L. Teague, 38, of Dexter was arrested by the Missouri State Highway Patrol on May 27 at his residence.

According to the probable-cause affidavit, trooper M. B. Foster contacted Teague at his home after receiving information from the Missouri Department of Transportation that Teague had made "several threats to employees on social media."

While the nature of those threats isn't known, Teague's Facebook page contains rants against MoDOT and other public officials, including President Barack Obama.

On posts concerning MoDOT, Teague wrote, "Yes I said it" on more than one occasion, although it is not clear to what he was referring.

After arresting Teague, Foster asked him whether anyone else was in the residence. According to the report, Teague told Foster his girlfriend was inside, and he could enter. While inside, Foster found Teague's girlfriend, identified as Dusty D. Hurt, hiding beneath the kitchen sink.

According to the report, when asked why she was hiding, Hurt said she had a warrant from Butler County.

During a search of the residence, Foster found a metal tin containing several marijuana pipes and a small bag of marijuana. While leaving the residence, Foster also saw a marijuana plant growing in a flower pot.

Teague is charged with making a terrorist threat, a felony, as well as distributing or attempting to distribute a controlled substance.

Teague is scheduled for a preliminary hearing June 18.
