Democratic rally set for Saturday
About 400 people are expected to attend a Southeast Missouri Democratic rally on Saturday at Dexter, Mo. The event will be held starting at 6:30 p.m. at the Dexter Elks Lodge, 325 N. Two Mile Road. Attorney General Jay Nixon, state auditor and U.S. Senate candidate Claire McCaskill, treasurer candidate Mark Powell, 8th Congressional District candidate Veronica Hambacker and several Southeast Missouri state representative candidates are scheduled to attend, organizers said.
The event is sponsored by the Southeast Missouri Democratic Rural Caucus.
