Delta, Whitewater firefighters squelch mobile home fire

Delta firefighters with the help of Whitewater Fire Protection District squelched a mobile home fire on County Road 251 about three miles outside of Delta Thursday morning. Delta Fire Protection District assistant chief Kevin Gramlisch said he was paged just before 8 a.m. from 147 County Road 251 with a report of the fire.

"By the time we got there it was 50 to 75 percent on fire," he said. "The flames were coming out of all the windows in the front of the home."

The two fire districts extinguished the flames with the use of a tanker truck in about 20 minutes and stayed on the scene for about two hours, he said.
