POPLAR BLUFF, Mo. -- The Butler County/Poplar Bluff Major Case Squad was activated Monday to investigate two suspicious deaths at a rural residence north of Poplar Bluff.

Poplar Bluff police Capt. Dennis Long, the squad's spokesman, said a 911 call requested an ambulance at 442 County Road 538 at 1:49 p.m. Monday. When emergency medical services personnel and deputies arrived, they found the bodies of Margie Parker, 52, and Theresa K. Orr, 45, Long said. Both lived at the residence.

Long said examination of the scene revealed no evidence of violence or wounds to either victim. Autopsies and toxicology testing were scheduled for Tuesday at Mineral Area Hospital in Farmington, Mo.

"What is most suspicious," Long said, "is four days earlier officers responded to the same residence and found Jamie Ann Sommers' body under similar circumstances, reported by the same person."

Police said no signs of violence were found on Summers' body.
