Cable television subscribers wanting a chance to make a change in their cable service are being asked to complete and return a survey mailed by the city of Cape Girardeau and Charter Communications. The survey is being conducted to determine customer satisfaction and what current customers want from their cable providers.

"This survey is really important in helping us understand what subscribers want," Jim Dufek, cable television advisory board chairman, said in a prepared release.

"With the many changes and features of the new programming, we want to ensure complete customer satisfaction," he said.

Surveys were mailed in July, and all completed surveys must be returned by Friday.

Under the current franchise agreement between Charter and the city, the city may request up to two separate surveys at the expense of the franchisee. The city opted to conduct a survey at this point to determine customer satisfaction with recent cable changes.
