DEADLINE FOR BOOK ON CITY THURSDAY

Those wishing to reserve copies of "Images of the Past in the City of Roses" are reminded that the deadline for pre-publication orders is Thursday. The pre-publication price of the 240-page book is $25 per book, including sales tax. Books can also be reserved with a $5 deposit per copy.

After Thursday, the price of the pictorial history will be $30.73, per book, including sales tax. The book is now at the bindery, and should be ready for delivery later this month.

"Images of the Past" includes more than 600 black and white photographs of Cape Girardeau's development, as well as about 70 stories. Photographs date to the late 1800s and the most recent pictures are from the 1993 flood.
