COLUMBIA, Mo. (AP) -- Authorities say the father of a 2-year-old boy found dead in Columbia is arrested on a parole violation as the investigation into the child's death continues.
Columbia police said federal marshals arrested 25-year-old Horace C. Johnson on Thursday night in East St. Louis, Ill. He remains in the St. Clair County jail in Cahokia without bond.
Johnson has not been charged in the death of Cortez Johnson, which police call suspicious. However, police have said he is a person of interest in the case.
On Thursday, the child's mother, 26-year-old Keyonda Lumpkins, was charged with first-degree child endangerment.
