DALTON FLORISTS MOVES TO E. MAIN

While Dalton Florist is certainly not a new name in Jackson, the venerable florist's location is.

Dalton Florist moved to 701 E. Main Aug. 2, after spending nearly 15 years at 120 N. Hope in Jackson. The business opened in Jackson 43 years ago.

"It's gone really well," said Bob Cranmer, co-owner. "We're able to offer a bigger selection now that we have more room. Now we're off the road and have more parking."

The florist is located next to the Jackson R-2 administrative office, in a 19th century home on a lush green hilltop, just off East Main.

"We want people to come and see what we do," said Gail Cranmer, co-owner. "Service is what we specialize in."

Dalton Florist's official ribbon-cutting was held Thursday. The phone number continues to be 243-2526 and Dalton will continue to make free deliveries in Jackson and to hospitals and nursing homes.
