BENTON -- Longtime banker and businessman Dale Stuckey has announced his candidacy for Scott County treasurer on the Democratic ticket.

Stuckey, a lifelong Scott County resident, is a graduate of Kelly High School, the University of Missouri and LSU School of Banking.

He has worked in banking and financial services for the past 25 years. Currently, he is associated with the Public Employment Benefits Service Corp. He worked previously with Oran State Bank for 20 years.

He has served as a member of the board of directors of the Missouri Bankers Association. He has also served as treasurer of the Benton Chamber of Commerce, the Benton Jaycees and the University of Missouri Extension Council.

He farms a small, family farm in the Benton area.

Stuckey has volunteered for the American Cancer Society and as a coach in the AAU and North Scott County Little League programs.
