CRUISE PARTY OCT. 23 IN JACKSON

JACKSON -- The Jackson Heritage Association will sponsor its second annual Cruise Party Oct. 23, with proceeds going to support the Oliver House.

The event will begin at 6 p.m. at the Knights of Columbus Hall on Highway 61.

A travel package worth $4,000 will be given away at 10 p.m. Last year's winners, Jim and Judy Sanders, used their gift to travel to Russia.

Numerous other give-aways will be provided, including vintage glassware, gift certificates, framed pictures and children's toys.

Hors d'oeuvres will be served during the social hour, followed by a meal at 7 p.m.

The band Classified will perform a variety of music, with and emphasis on standards.

The second annual Heritage Calendar will be for sale.
