The SEMO chapter of American Association of Critical Care Nurses will host a mini-seminar on renal hemodynamics and acute renal failure in critically ill patients today from 6-9 p.m. at Southeast Missouri Hospital's Harrison Room.
The presentation will feature several points of interest to physicians, nurses and health care professionals. Its focus is kidney function.
Topics include renal physiology, progression through the phases of renal failure and treatment modalities.
Keynote speakers are Dr. Frank Braxton, registered nurse Pat Isaacs and Kathy Fitzpatrick.
The seminar is free. CEUs and refreshments will be provided. A $3 fee will be charged to cover the cost of dinner, if desired.
