CRASH KILLS PUXICO WOMAN

SIKESTON -- A Puxico woman was killed Wednesday afternoon in a collision on Highway 60 at Highway 114.

Margaret Denbow, 61, was taken by Lifebeat helicopter to Southeast Missouri Hospital after the 3:35 p.m. accident six miles west of Sikeston. She was pronounced dead at the hospital.

Denbow's eastbound vehicle attempted to make a left turn from the right lane and was struck by an eastbound vehicle driven by Johnny Thompson, 28, of Sikeston, according to a spokeswoman for the Missouri Highway Patrol.

Both vehicles traveled into the highway median.
