The Missouri Highway Patrol identified a Qulin man as the victim of a one-car accident Tuesday.
The patrol said Nathaniel Carter, 28, was killed at 4:45 p.m. Tuesday in Butler County when his car left Highway 142 near Neelyville, hit a tree and caught fire and burned.
In a Cape County accident Wednesday,
there was one Butler County fatality and one Cape Girardeau County accident in Troop E.
Carter was killed about 4:45 p.m. Tuesday in Butler County on Highway 142, about a half-mile east of Neelyville.
The patrol said a Jackson teen-ager was taken to St. Francis Medical Center Wednesday afternoon after the vehicle he was driving left County Road 621 five miles east of Oriole.
The patrol said the vehicle, driven by Robert Johnson, 16, of Jackson was southbound when it left the roadway, hit a fence and utility pole.
The patrol said the utility pole fell and hit another southbound vehicle driven by Jason Keesee, 20, of Cape Girardeau. He was not hurt.
Johnson was taken to St. Francis Medical Center where he was treated and released.
