Crash claims life of Cape County woman

A Cape Girardeau County woman was killed Friday when her pickup truck crashed.

According to Missouri State Highway Patrol spokesman Trooper Clark Parrott, Amy Koehler, 29, of Friedheim, was driving her pickup truck eastbound on Route KK near Friedheim when it crashed into a tractor-trailer truck that was also traveling eastbound. Koehler died from injuries she received in the crash but the driver of the tractor-trailer survived with no serious injuries.

Parrott said the details of the crash were not known as of Friday afternoon, but the patrol's major-crash team was at the scene of the crash and conducting an investigation.
