Sheriff Bob Holder and his deputies served Wilson with a court order Friday afternoon, which indicated the state would be removing the animals from his care.

Approximately 60 animals were taken into care by Bonnie Dean, statewide investigator, and her team with the Humane Society's Animal Rescue Team after allegations of animal abuse came through the corporate office in St. Louis.

Holder said no charges were filed against Wilson at the time of the animals' removal but are expected to be forthcoming.
