ST. CHARLES, Mo. (AP) -- A man and woman from suburban St. Louis are charged with a string of church burglaries over the past two months.

STLtoday, the Web site for the St. Louis Post-Dispatch, reports that 35-year-old Stephanie Land and 32-year-old Anthony B. Berry have been charged with felony theft in St. Charles County Circuit Court.

Authorities say the couple burglarized at least two churches in St. Peters and may be responsible for several more church robberies.

The couple allegedly stole electronics and band instruments worth more than $5,000 from the two churches.
