CLAYTON, Mo. (AP) - The St. Louis County health director is facing questions about her second job as an emergency room doctor in southern Illinois.

KMOX-AM (cbsloc.al/1cCKbZ6 ) reports Dr. Dolores Gunn works at a hospital more than two hours away in Anna, Ill., an average of once a week. Gunn says the arrangement is allowed under the county charter and has the approval of her boss, County Executive Charlie Dooley.

The Illinois city is located across the Mississippi River from Cape Girardeau, Mo.

Gunn says she works at Union County Hospital there on her days off from the St. Louis County job, or uses accrued personal days. She earns $152,000 as county health director.
