DEF LEPPARD
Country classicist George Jones and heavy metal stars Def Leppard both will play the Show Me Center within the same week in February.
Appearing along with Jones in the Feb. 7 concert will be Marty Stuart and Tracy Lawrence.
The English band Def Leppard will follow with an appearance in the round on Feb. 10.
Jones, a veteran of 40 years in music and considered one of the all-time great country singers, has a new album titled "Walls Can Fall."
Stuart's latest album "This One's Gonna Hurt You" has put him on the country music map. His current single is "Now That's Country."
Jones and Stuart have appeared at the Show Me Center before, while 23-year-old newcomer Lawrence made a name for himself a year ago with the number one song "Sticks and Stones."
His single "Somebody Paints the Wall" currently is number 13 on the Billboard country chart. Lawrence's newest album, "Alibis," is due out Feb. 15.
Tickets for the country music show, billed as the Red Man Country Concert Series, will be discounted $3 with coupons available at town & country Supermarkets. The coupons are redeemable only with the purchase of a ticket at the Show Me Center Box Office. Tickets are $18.50.
Def Leppard's first album, "Pyromania," was released in 1983, sold seven million copies in the U.S. and produced three Top 40 songs. The biggest of those was "Photograph."

The band's latest album, "Adrenalize," so far has produced the hit "Let's Get Rocked."
General admission tickets will be sold for the floor only. Both general admission and reserved tickets are $20.
