COUNTRY CHRISTMAS WALK IN STE. GEN. DEC. 7-8

STE. GENEVIEVE -- The 12th annual Country Christmas Walk will be held Dec. 7-8 in Ste. Genevieve.

The town will be decked out in Christmas color for the 11 a.m. Christmas Parade Dec. 7. Les Petites Chanteurs will perform in the streets from noon-2 p.m. Dec. 7 and from 1-3 Dec. 8.

The singing duo of Clem and Marion will be at the Ste. Genevieve Winery at noon both days, and the Ste. Genevieve High School Swing Choir will perform at the Interpretive Center from 2-3 p.m. Dec. 7.

The weekend will include a tree-lighting ceremony at 6 p.m. Dec. 7 at the Interpretive Center, and the Guibourd-Valle house will open to the public at 6:30.

Dec. 8 events include concerts by the Handbell Choir of Ste. Genevieve Catholic Church at 3 p.m. and by the Ste. Genevieve Wind Ensemble at 4 p.m.

The Ste. Genevieve Art Guild will hold is 1996 art show and sale the same weekend. The display will be at the County Service Building, 255 Market St.. Show hours are 10 a.m.-5 p.m. Dec. 7 and 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Dec. 8.
