Country, Christian acts slated at Black River Coliseum today, Saturday

POPLAR BLUFF, Mo. -- The Black River Coliseum in Poplar Bluff will be busy this weekend with two concerts.

Fans of Brantley Gilbert and Uncle Kracker are urged to buy their tickets as soon as possible, as Black River Coliseum staff anticipate a sellout of tonight's Hell on Wheels tour. The show starts at 7:30 p.m. and also features Greg Bates and Brian Davis.

"We're going to have the biggest crowd we've had here in a long time," said Coliseum director Bobby Godwin. "We have 350 tickets left and we're anticipating right at 4,000" in attendance.

The crowd is expected to be the largest since Mercy Me in 2007, according to box office manager Subrina Berger.

On Saturday, Christian music fans can enjoy rock, worship and Southern gospel artists starting at 6:30 p.m.

Bands in the Rock Solid Music Tour include MyLoveInRed, One Way Out and Steve Hess & Southern Salvation.

MyLoveInRed is from Southeast Missouri.

"We all got together about two years ago and decided to start a band, travel around and lead worship," said vocalist and guitarist Jordan Copeland.

The band is working on an album with Nashville, Tenn., producer Rusty Varenkamp.
