Firefighters were called at 7:53 p.m. Tuesday to the fourth floor of an apartment complex at 45 S. West End Blvd., where they found the fire already out, according to a news release from the Cape Girardeau Fire Department. The building superintendent extinguished the fire before crews arrived.
