Carrie Murray of Marble Hill is the winner of the 1991 Missouri Beef Cook-off.
Murray won a $500 prize and an expense-paid trip to the National Beef Cook-off in Colorado Springs, Colo. later this year.
Murray's winning entry was a "Pizza Steak" recipe.
Murray, who lists cooking and baking among her hobbies, said the steak-pizza recipe was created out of necessity last December when company called and was snowbound at the Murray home for a while.
Murray, her husband, Roger, and two-year-old son, Ray, live near Marble Hill.
The contest was sponsored by the Missouri Cattlewomen's Association.
