Stoddard County Prosecuting Attorney Russell Oliver said Rendleman's sentencing hearing will be at 1:30 p.m. July 15.

On June 16, Rendleman's attorney filed a motion for a new trial, but the request was denied because of Rendleman's prior criminal history, which includes two rape convictions.

Oliver explained the only possible sentence in the case is life without the possibility of parole. Rendleman is set to receive that sentence for the forcible rape and forcible sodomy charges. For kidnapping, he faces 10 years to life in prison. For assault on a law enforcement officer, he faces 15 years. For the armed criminal action conviction, there is no limit on the possible sentence.
