CONVENTION BOARD NEEDS VOLUNTEERS

Cape needs more volunteers. The city is looking for volunteers to serve on the Convention and Visitor's Advisory Board.Applicants must be Cape Girardeau residents and are appointed by the City Council.There are nine members on the board and three must be appointed from the hotel, motel or restaurant industry. The board meets each month on the fourth Thursday of the month at 4 p.m. at the Convention and Visitor's Bureau office on Broadway. Anyone who is interested in serving on the board can pick up an application at City Hall, 401 Independence.
