Saxony Lutheran High School officials signed a contract this week for construction of a new $4.5 million facility in Fruitland. The 42,084-square-foot project will be built by Brockmiller Construction Co. of Farmington, Mo. The bid was low enough that two additional classrooms have been added to the project, allowing for a capacity of 350 students. Saxony Lutheran opened in 2000 and is supported by 24 Lutheran congregations in Southeast Missouri. The new high school is scheduled to be completed by December 2004.
