SCOTT CITY -- State highway officials awarded a $1 million construction contract last week for a bridge spanning Ramsey Creek.
The bridge construction is the second of five projects in the Nash Road extension project.
The project will extend Nash Road about 4 miles to the property line of the SEMO Port Authority. The Missouri Highway and Transportation Department awarded the contract to a Poplar Bluff company.
Robertson Inc. of Poplar Bluff was awarded the contract for more than $1 million. Construction could begin as early as October, said Jim Murray, district engineer with the highway department.
