E. C. Younghouse of Cape Girardeau is one of 10 people who have received prizes for guessing how many aluminum cans were needed to create a compressed block of aluminum at the Anheuser-Busch tent at the VP Fair in St. Louis recently.
Approximately 2,000 fairgoers estimated the number of cans it took to created a 3 x 5 x 3 foot aluminum block. The block contained 43,310 cans. Estimates submitted by most of the winners were within 100 cans of the actual number of cans.
The 10 winners each received two Cardinal baseball tickets.
