The Constitution Party has nominated a candidate to run in a June 4 special election for Missouri's 8th Congressional District seat.

Doug Enyart, a U.S. Marine and professional forester from Piedmont, Mo., was chosen by the party, according to a news release.

Also on the ballot are Democrat Steve Hodges, Libertarian Bill Slantz, and Republican Jason Smith.

The winner of the special election will fill the seat vacated by Jo Ann Emerson, who resigned in January to become president and CEO of the National Rural Electric Cooperative Association.
