OIL EXPORTS AND TERRORISM: The House passed an amendment sponsored by Rep. Luke Messer, R-Ind., to a bill (H.R. 702). The amendment would authorize the president to ban the export of U.S.-produced crude oil to any country found to be a sponsor of terrorism. The vote, on Oct. 9, was 414 yeas to 1 nay.

ENDING CRUDE OIL EXPORT BAN: The House passed a bill (H.R. 702), sponsored by Rep. Joe Barton, R-Texas, that would repeal the federal government's ban on the export of U.S.-produced crude oil. The vote, on Oct. 9, was 261 yeas to 159 nays.
YEAS: Clay D-MO (1st), Graves (MO) R-MO (6th), Hartzler R-MO (4th), Long R-MO (7th), Luetkemeyer R-MO (3rd), Smith (MO) R-MO (8th), Wagner R-MO (2nd)
NAYS: Cleaver D-MO (5th)
