The second assault took place at a soccer tournament about 6 p.m. on Sunday. It involved a man and a woman, Richards said, neither of whom were parents of the participants. No one was injured.

The confrontations were both classified as third degree assaults. No one was arrested, Richards said.

Both cases will be sent to Cape Girardeau's city attorney for further action, he said.
