The Cape Girardeau Municipal Band concert Wednesday will feature the cast from Freedom Celebration '91.
The concert begins at 8 p.m. at the Capaha Park band shell.
Freedom Celebration '91 is a musical program being presented by the First General Baptist Church, 1812 Cape LaCroix Road, June 26-30 at 7:30 p.m. each night.
Musical director and conductor Frank Bain and a 45-voice choir will present excerpts from the musical at the band concert.
The celebrity guest conductor for the program with be Dr. David Crowe, who will conduct "Americans We March."
The concert will open with the "Strategic Air Command March," dedicated to the Desert Storm Operation.
Other selections on the program include "Ozark Overture," "Flutes, Flutes, Flutes," "The Blues Roar," "Amparito Roco" and a Spanish selection. The band will also perform selections from the musical "The King and I."
Spectators are asked to bring a lawn chair.
