In his program, Newton will present selections from "Friends of the Family," winner of the Parents' Choice Gold Award in November 1990.

Noel Paul Stookey of Peter, Paul and Mary collaborated with Newton and other writers and musicians to develop a tape of songs to improve the quality of life of hospitalized and other chronically ill or special-needs children.

The corporate sponsor has underwritten the cost of the concert and also several hundred cassette tapes and lyric-coloring books to be left at Southeast's pediatric department.
