Faculty of the music department at Southeast Missouri State University will join with alumni to present a concert of chamber music at 3 p.m. Sunday in Old St. Vincent's Church in Cape Girardeau.
Returning to perform are Lisa Basler, Linda Huck and Johanna Edrman. Also performing are faculty members Sara Edgerton, Paul Thompson, Robert Fruehwald and Gary Miller. Senior flute major Kristine Springer of Jackson will also perform.
Basler, a 1987 graduate of Southeast, teaches music in the Rolla Public Schools. She holds a master's of music degree in oboe performance from the University of Illinois.
Huck teaches music in the Farmington school system and holds undergraduate and graduate degrees from Southeast where she is adjunct instructor of bassoon. Erdman holds a bachelor's of music education degree from Central Missouri State University, where she was an oboe major. She is a music instructor at Franklin Elementary School in Cape Girardeau.
The program will include works by Telemann, Hotteterre, Handel and Marcello and will conclude with a sonata for three flutes and bass by Boismortier. The concert is open to the public.
