CONCERT BAND READING SCHEDULED

Regional band directors interested in previewing student band music are invited to a Concert Band reading session Saturday on the campus of Southeast Missouri State University.

The annual event is scheduled for 9 a.m. to noon in Academic Auditorium.

The Southeast Missouri State University Wind Ensemble will sight read prospective band literature provided by Shattinger Music of St. Louis.

"Band directors from the area are invited to come and listen and decide if they want to use the music for their students," said Robert Gifford, Southeast professor of music and secondary education. "Students also are invited to get exposure to new music."
