Dr. Ron Anderson, superintendent of the Jackson School District, said five or six districts from Southeast Missouri were represented at the meeting. Anderson said most of the discussion surrounded corporation tax loopholes and the measures districts are taking to offset the budget cuts.

"I think all schools are doing similar things," Anderson said. "Mostly with staff positions since that's where the most money goes."
