COMPANY REPORTS ON SALES OF TRUCKS

Navistar International Transportation Corp., placed first in U.S. retail sales in 1990 for medium and heavy trucks, said William E. Horner, president of Wiethop Truck and Trailer Sales in Cape Girardeau.

Wiethop handles Navistar vehicles and Utility brand trailers.

Horner said 1990 was the 10th consecutive year International trucks ranked first in the combined classes.

Navistar attained a 28 percent market share in the sales, 9 percent above the next competitor, says information from Navistar. It said Navistar has the largest exclusive truck dealership network in North America, with more than 600 sales operations.
