The city of Jackson is hosting a community workshop to review draft proposals for several aspects of the city's comprehensive plan at 7 p.m. Wednesday at Jackson City Hall.
The workshop is part of an effort to involve the community in updating the long-range vision for the city. Recommendations will be presented for the preliminary land use plan, transportation plan, environmental features and open space plan and the community facilities plan. The public is encouraged to provide input on the recommendations.
The community workshop is part of an ongoing cummunity outreach project to involve Jackson residents, businesses and property owners in the formation of the plan. Input from earlier outreach efforts is available in an existing conditions report. That document is available through the Comprehensive Plan Project link at www.jacksonmo.org.
For more information or questions and comments about the City of Jackson Comprehensive Plan Update, contact building and planning superintendent Janet Sanders at 243-2300, extension 29, or jsanders@jacksonmo.org.
