* Lives in: My husband and I have both lived in McClure, Ill., almost all of our lives.
* Family: C. L. (Pat) Dillon and I were married in 1964 in McClure. We have a son, Bill, who lives in McClure; eldest daughter, Gina and her husband, Howard live in St. Louis and our youngest daughter, Angela and her husband, Brad, live in Jackson. We also have five grandchildren and they are the center of our world.
* Job: As the events and outreach coordinator for the Humane Society of Southeast Missouri, I'm the person that finds ways of raising funds, coordinating and following through with the plans. I do research to find grants available for the Humane Society. I enjoy my job. At times it is overwhelming but it is also so rewarding. I go to schools, clubs or other organizations to educate them on the care of pets, the need to spay or neuter, the services offered at the Humane Society and the possible dangers to animals and humans to have stray animals running loose. I also serve the village of McClure as mayor, a nonpaid position.
* What do you like most about the area? I guess the size of the area, the people and amenities. The area is small enough that we do not have the hustle and rush found in large cities, the people are friendly and not worried about speaking to a stranger. Even though the area isn't a huge city we have the availability of the shops, fine dining and entertainment found in larger cities.
* Favorite food: Oh, come on you can tell by looking at my picture I like it all. I guess if I had to pin it down I would say Chinese and Cajun.
* Favorite TV show: "Judging Amy" and "Joan of Arcadia."
* Best advice: Start each day with a smile, it will make your day start out right and it will for sure make someone else feel better.
* Person you most admire: My youngest sister, Becky. With two children she worked her way through college on the dean's list. She struggled but had a dream to be a engineer, and is now the director of public works in Ocala, Fla.
* What would you do if you won the lottery: I don't really know. My husband wants a new barn and a houseboat. After we buy those I'd probably spoil my kids and grandkids more then I do already. I would also donate money to help the Humane Society build a new shelter.
* Pet peeve: People that get in the passing lane and stay there. For those of you that do it, that is the left lane.
