Family: My husband, Greg, and I are expecting our first child in July. We also have two adopted dogs from the Humane Society: Samson and Solomon.

Job: Director for Big Brothers Big Sisters.

What do you like most about the area? I love that Cape has a lot to offer for a smaller community; the university, mall, historic attractions and diversity of restaurants all make this a great place to live with a lot of variety and not as many of the drawbacks of a larger city.

Favorite food: I like a lot of different things but especially Mexican and the Greek food we get at Phoenicia's.

Favorite TV show: "American Idol."

Best advice: My husband is always telling me to relax and not worry about things and remember 1 Peter 5:7: "Cast all your worries on Him for He cares for you." You enjoy life a lot more that way and don't waste time worrying about things that in the long run don't matter a lot.

Person you most admire: Dr. Laura.

Pet Peeve: Grouchy, negative, critical people.
